A generous donor has made possible the development of Fabulous Firsts, a celebration of reading and of first graders. On a single night at the beginning of the school years, first graders and parents meet at their own school and each new student receives a new hardcover book, listen to the principal and other guests read from the book, and enjoy refreshments and celebrate reading as the key to a successful journey over the next 12 years and throughout life.
