Bridging the Generation Gap

Doris Buswell, 85, said having a horse give birth to twins was one of the greatest events of her life.
“It only happens once in 100,000 births,” she said proudly.
Buswell showed the foals’ 1963 pictures, taken at her home on Green Meadow Drive, to 11-year-old Dohyun Kim during a visit at the Waterford, where Buswell now lives.
“I knew she was going to have her foal and I was so happy to see it, but when I stepped back a little bit, there was another laying there,” she said with excitement. “I couldn’t believe it could be happening to me.”
